Barge Trip to Burgundy June 8 -14, 2024

After our successful trip last year, we are headed back to Burgundy!

Claire has switched up the itinerary, but we will be cruising to all the best landmarks and highlights. We will also enjoy private tastings, and plenty of Picayune wines alongside our gourmet meals onboard. Do not hesitate to reserve your tickets, as spots will fill up quickly.

A couple of “Add On” days are in the work from June 6 to June 8 to go visit more wineries in Puligny Montrachet, Meursault, Nuits St Georges and Aloxe Corton. We will add the details as soon as we have them.

  • June 8 : DIJON

Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. in Dijon. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail before dinner.

For those interested, I will offer an add-on to go visit wineries.

  • June 9: DIJON - LONGECOURT-EN-PLAINE

We will start our trip on the Route des Grands Crus. After lunch, we will head to Beaune for a special guided visit of the famous Hospices de Beaune. After our tour, we will walk to the Fallot Mustard company for a visit and workshop (yes we will make our own!!!) We will then return on board in Longecourt-en-Plaine.

We will explore monuments that tell the story of the city's prestigious past, such as the monument commemorating the Siege of 1636, and the Hôtel-Dieu, which was a charitable hospital founded in 1658 and is surrounded by intricately wrought iron railings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The visit will end with a tasting of local specialties from Burgundy.
